The H3 Merlot is a mouthfilling and complex red. Made from 100 percent Merlot in the seductive style common to Washington State in general and the Horse Heaven Hills appellation in particular, this is supple and velvety with added structure and interest from dusty (gripping) tannin as well as savoury earthy and spice notes. The body, flavour and structure have more polish and definition than the 2013 vintage, which adds greatly to the drinking pleasure and ageability.
