Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery 2016 Speck Family Estate Baco Noir
Baco Noir holds pride of place at Henry of Pelham, the family-run Niagara winery that has embraced this French hybrid grape like no other. One of the best Bacos to date, the 2016 Speck Family Reserve Baco is produced from older vines (including the original 1984 block) from the Short Hills Bench sub-appellation and aged 13 months in a combination of new, one and two year old American oak barrels. The result is an attractive and robust red wine with balanced acidity and lots of spicy intensity. Worthy of cellaring over the next four to six years, this is drinking nicely right out of the gate. Highly Recommended.
