One of the original estates in Montalcino, Col d’Orcia is now one of the largest certified organic vineyards in Tuscany. This traditional style Brunello is aged primarily in large Slavonian oak barrels, while more modern producers use smaller French oak barrels to add a layer of chocolate and vanilla flavours to their wines. A seriously structured wine, those gritty tannins that allow Brunello to develop over time are evident, and balanced by generous and appealing spice, pine and cherry flavours. Drink now-2032.
