Fifty years from its inaugural vintage in 1968, Sassicaia continues to embody elegance and refinement. Tasted over the course of two days, this showed a marked improvement in complexity and body on the second day. The mix of savoury and cedar notes add interest to the core of vibrant cherry and currant fruit. There's an underlying freshness and pitch-perfect harmony of the components that suggests this should age like clockwork. Drink 2024 to 2040. Outstanding.  (96/100)
