Biodynamic farming and delicate handling are the keys to success for this ripe and supple estate grown Pinot Noir. The vineyard blocks were planted on hillside sites in 2008, with clones 114, 777 and 828 represented, for a total of 8.5 acres. Hand harvested fruit was sorted and underwent natural fermentation (40 percent whole clusters) and then barrel aged (a mix of older, larger format barrels, small percentage of new wood). Lovely structure and balance here — impressive even for winemaker Ann Sperling’s high standards.
