Part of the Samuel's Garden Collection, which pays honour to Yalumba's connection to the birth of the Australian wine industry, Patchwork is an engaging and enjoyable Barossa Shiraz. There's a pleasing mix of ripe and savoury notes that capture the freshness and charm of the grape as well as depth and concentration from the growing conditions and judicious oak aging (a mix of French and American oak and a mix of barriques, hogsheads and octave formats). This is drinking wonderfully right now and promises to mature nicely over the next five years. Highly Recommended.
