The back label of this value priced Spanish red proclaims it’s “a blend of sunshine and tempranillo celebrating the Spanish harvest.” Reportedly 100 percent tempranillo, coming from La Mancha, it certainly has a sunny disposition. Its soft and fruity character offers fresh and appealing ripe fruit (strawberry / blackberry) with some spice and balsamic notes. There’s a hint of residual sweetness (6 g/L r.s. according to the LCBO lab), which adds to the easy-going appeal. Drink now. (87/100)
